The Poway School District accepts applications for Designated Subject Career Technical Education (CTE) Teachers (Secondary Level) on a continuous basis for regular full-time and part-time assignments. This is a continuous recruitment which will be used to establish an ongoing eligibility list for secondary schools. Candidates who do not wish to be considered for regular full-time/part-time positions should apply to the substitute teacher pool to be considered for temporary assignments. The Designated Subject CTE Teacher Pool has been created for individuals who hold or are able to obtain a Designated Subjects CTE Teaching Credential and who wish to teach a Career Technical Education course at a secondary school. Information about the requirements to obtain a Designated Subjects Career Technical Education teaching credential is available through the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) website. If you have not applied for a California teaching credential, please remember that as of January 1, 2017, you must hold a Certificate of Clearance prior to applying for your credential. Experience: Demonstrated knowledge, interest and specialized experience in the field named on the designated subjects teaching credential. A minimum of three years experience is required with one year in the last five years or two years in the last ten years. Experience working with pupils at the secondary level is desired

Candidates eligible for a Designated Subjects CTE Teaching Credential may be considered. Please reference the State of California CCTC website for details. 2. Current Resume 3. Current Copy of Transcripts 4. Three (3) Letters of Recommendation signed within the last 12 months. It is recommended that at least one (1) come from a supervising administrator. 5. Letter of Intent addressed to Ricardo Ceceña, Director of Human Resources
