About the Employer

The SEED School of Los Angeles County (SEED LA) "Empowering Scholars. Elevating Communities. Engineering the Future." The SEED School of Los Angeles County (SEED LA) is a college-preparatory, tuition-free, five-day-a-week public boarding school committed to transforming the lives of low-income students who need—and deserve—a caring, rigorous, and inclusive environment where they can thrive and realize their full potential. Rooted in the groundbreaking vision of The SEED Foundation, SEED LA joins a nationally recognized network of public college-prep boarding schools that serve students who benefit from a 24-hour learning environment. Established in 1998, The SEED Foundation launched the nation’s first public boarding school model, grounded in the belief that all young people, regardless of circumstance, should have access to a high-quality education and the opportunity to pursue their dreams. At SEED LA, we go beyond the traditional classroom. As a STEAM-focused school in partnership with LA Metro, SEED LA is the first school of its kind to center its academic and career pathways on transportation, infrastructure, and engineering, preparing students to shape the future of Los Angeles and beyond. We nurture both the scholar and the citizen, inspiring students to pursue not only academic excellence but also purpose-driven lives. SEED LA is proud to be a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate (IB), offering the **Middle Years Programme (MYP) for 9th and 10th graders and preparing to launch the Diploma Programme (DP) for 11th and 12th graders. Through the IB framework, we challenge students to think critically, act ethically, and engage globally. Our commitment to the whole child is also reflected in our status as a Valor Compass Camp School, where Restorative Justice, community circles, and social-emotional learning are embedded into daily practice. We believe that relationships are the foundation of learning, and we strive to build a school culture grounded in trust, empathy, and accountability. College-going is not just a goal at SEED LA—it’s a guarantee. From the moment students enter our doors, we cultivate a culture where college is an expectation for all. Our team is unwavering in our support of first-generation college-bound students and their families, providing a robust network of academic, emotional, and postsecondary supports to ensure every scholar is equipped for success in college and in life.
