
Translator/Interpreter (Bilingual Mandarin Required) at Anaheim Elementary School District (TK-6)
Requirements / Qualifications
• Combination equivalent to graduation from high school, demonstrated bilingual/bi-literate skills and two years translating materials from English into Mandarin. • Valid Class C California driver’s license required. • Required to speak, read and write fluently in English and Mandarin. • Knowledge of correct usage, vocabulary, grammar, spelling, and punctuation in English and Mandarin. • Ability to translate written communications from English to Mandarin and vice versa. • Knowledge of terminology, forms and materials of the District. • Ability to understand and communicate the needs of school and District personnel, students and parents. • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. • Knowledge of interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy. • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment. • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information. • Ability to type at 45 words per minute.
