Please note: This is a fixed-term opportunity ending after the 2025-2026 school year. Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) is seeking candidates for the Lead Credentials Technician position with the Beginning Teacher Program. This position reviews and determines the appropriate credentials for certificated positions in LACOE and provides work direction and guidance to assigned staff involved in credential processing. The Lead Credentials Technician also processes credential certification for certificated employees and job applicants and advises administrators and credential applicants of laws, rules, qualifications and procedures pertaining to certification. Requirements / Qualifications

Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent. Experience: Four years of clerical experience in processing certificated employee credentials involving public contact and the review, application and interpretation of policies, procedures and regulations, OR one year of experience in the LACOE job title of Human Resources Specialist involving credentials processing. Additional Requirements: A valid California driver's license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to obtain transportation between job sites is required. Positions in this classification are required to obtain the state approval as the Authorized Credential Recommenders by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) by the end of the probationary period. Hybrid remote schedules may be available. To ensure the health and safety of its staff, LACOE may require employees to provide evidence of full vaccination against COVID-19. Selection Process Candidates who meet the minimum requirements above will be invited to participate in an examination that may consist of a Performance Exam and a Structured Interview.
