DIRECTOR OF DESIGN-LED INNOVATION JOB SUMMARY: Junípero Serra High School is a Catholic college preparatory for boys. Located in San Mateo, in the heart of the San Francisco Peninsula, Serra’s legacy spans over 75 years of excellence in Catholic education. The Director of the Design-Led Innovation Program is an innovative, creative and dynamic leader charged with developing and implementing a strategic plan focused on innovation and global leadership. Both a big picture thinker and a hands-on implementer, the Director engages with students, teachers, parents, alumni, administrators and community members to drive change and new growth, cultivate innovative capabilities and promote the value of design thinking and creative problem solving. The Director must be a strategic thinker with strong communication, organization, collaborative and interpersonal skills, and have the enthusiasm and credibility to create and sustain programs both in the classroom and school. The Director leads professional development as it relates to integrating design thinking, technology and innovation into the academic program.
