Holy Trinity School recognizes that academic excellence and teaching the whole child is a top priority in developing well-rounded citizens. Teachers deliver rigorous lessons encompassing religion and implementation off the Common Core State Standards. Teachers are also allowed to develop creative lesson plans to engage each student personally and thoroughly in their classrooms. We are committed to ensuring that every student, regardless of background or circumstance, is empowered with the tools to succeed. The physical education teacher will develop and implement lessons aligned with the California Physical Education & Health Standards, as well as work collaboratively with families and faculty to ensure student success. This is for the remainder of the school year, with the possibility of rehire for the 2023-2024

Physical Education & Health Teacher

DESCRIPTION

> Knowledge of California Physical Education and Health standards

>Create a culture of learning in your classroom
> Engage in data-driven planning and assessment of student learning
> Establish a culture of respect and rapport with the students which supports the stude
nts’ emotional safety
> Facilitate rigorous learning by delivering cognitively engaging lessons 
> Engage in critical reflection, constantly revising practice 
Participate in a professional community across your school site and the community
> Develop partnerships within the community by communicating with families, faculty and staff to support student learning and achievement.

QUALIFICATIONS

As an ideal candidate, you

> have a bachelor’s degree (required) and be enrolled in a masters and/or teaching credential program
> have a growth mindset and love of learning

> have strong content knowledge, and the capacity to plan and deliver instruction to meet the needs of students

> have excellent collaborative and organizational skills

> have excellent verbal and written communication skills
> have a strong ethical base and self-awareness
> are dependable, humble, have a sense of humor and flexibitlity

> will need to pass a TB test and background check at time of offer
> current VIRTUS certificate
