Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Support Services, administers and coordinates district programs for English Learners to acquire academic English proficiency and achieve high academic standards. In addition, offer direct services to general education teachers, ELD teachers, Dual Immersion teachers, instructional aides, students, and parents.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Education Required: Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree required; Educational administration with an emphasis in multilingual/bilingual education, second language acquisition or equivalent area of study preferred. Experience Required: Teaching experience with English Learners in a standards-based program, utilizing student achievement data and effective instructional practices. Previous administrative experience at the site level preferable; Bilingual preferred. Licenses, Certifications, Bonding and/or Testing Required: Valid Administrative Services Credential required with an endorsement in bilingual/multicultural and/or ELD preferred; Clear California Teaching Credential with EL Authorization; Valid CA Driver’s License and evidence of insurability; Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance, and negative pre-employment drug screen test/negative TB results (upon hire).
