POSITION: Social Worker WORK YEAR: 200 days BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the assigned supervisor, perform a variety of social services functions involved in identifying, assessing and counseling students and families with social and educational needs; develop referral plans, organize and oversee the work of assigned staff engaged in counseling and social work activities; participate in the development of counseling related social services programs. Experience working in a diverse community. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * Possession of a Master’s Degree from an accredited school preferably in social work. * Familiarity with special education, juvenile justice and social services systems. * Demonstrated experience with Preschool through grade 8 and at-risk youth and families. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: * Valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in Social Work * Valid California Driver License
