The History Social Science Department has one full-time (1.0 FTE), 11-month vacancy. The History Social Science Department has a Central Office Resource Teacher vacancy. The primary role of this position is to work with administrators, teachers, central office personnel, parents, students, and the public to provide pedagogical support and leadership in History-Social Science for grades UTK-12, as well as assigned district-wide instructional programs, special projects, or curriculum components (including professional development/on-site coaching/curriculum writing/support and technical assistance to secondary level teachers to expand their understanding and capacity to deliver quality instruction and improve student learning). This position is assigned to the Program Manager of History-Social Science and Ethnic Studies Departments.
Requirements / Qualifications
Qualified applicants must have: Single-subject Social Science credential required. Credentials must be registered with the California Commission of Teacher Credentialing by the closing date of the application deadline. A minimum of 5 years of experience teaching in teacher leadership, coaching, and/or mentorship experience preferred. Applicants must have a valid California driver's license and be prepared to conduct, participate in, and travel to sites, professional development sessions, workshops, and meetings.
