Job Summary
The Santa Barbara County Education Office is looking for an individual with expertise in accounting and use of financial software to supervise the Finance Team in our School Business Advisory Services department. In this role, you will support school districts throughout the county in their day-to-day finance operations, document new or revised processes, oversee attendance reporting using a state database, and ensure the reconciliation of data between different financial systems. Requirements Education: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field. An associate degree may be accepted along with additional applicable and progressively responsible experience. Experience: Progressively responsible experience in the areas of business, finance, accounting, and auditing; in-depth experience working with financial software. Experience as a lead worker or supervisor and experience in school business or governmental setting are both desirable.

Comments and Other Information
Salary: $7,154 - $9,089 per month (hiring range; current top step $10,039 per month); pending 4% salary increase effective July 2023; salary step increase upon successful completion of probation
