About the Employer

Weingarten Children's Center is a non-public school and clinic that specializes in teaching deaf and hard of hearing students how to listen and speak. WCC has classes for infants and their caregivers, toddlers, preschoolers, pre-kindergarteners and kindergarteners. As an OPTION center of excellence, we strive for high-quality, intensive services to promote and support the return of students to their mainstream school setting. WCC also enrolls typically hearing peers. WCC is an energetic, fun and highly collaborative environment where students also learn critical thinking and social emotional skills through our unique curriculums. Our center offers continued support for alumni students after school, as well as, for families just beginning the hearing journey through our BabyTalk teleintervention and early intervention programs.

Job Summary

Job Summary

The BabyTalk Teleintervention Program at Weingarten Children’s Center (WCC) is in search of CA licensed/ASHA certified Spanish/English bilingual speech language pathologists and CA licensed teachers of the deaf subcontractors on a per diem bases to provide Listening and Spoken Language (LSL)/Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT). Early intervention using a parent coaching model and teletherapy experience is required. LSLS/AVT certified providers are strongly preferred. Requirements / Qualifications

Speech Language Pathologist with ASHA certification (CCC) and California state license OR California issued Education Specialist Instruction Credential. Teacher of the Deaf.
