Job Summary

The job of "Teacher - Music/Band" is done for the purpose/s of developing students' music appreciation and skills through implementing District approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; developing lesson plans; addressing specific educational needs of students; providing a safe and optimal teaming environment and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.

• Willingness to collaborate with staff on school wide initiatives; • Ability to manage large groups of students in class and while attending co-curricular activities such as parades and concerts; Ability to plan activities and coordinate fundraising and build a band program at the middle school level to support next level band readiness.
