Under general supervision, to perform the more difficult and complex accountiing, financial, and statistical recordkeeping work; and to do related work as may be required. Positions allocated to this class are responsible for performing a full range of accounting clerical duties related to a major technical function, and oversee work of others as necessary. An incumbent is expected to solve independently a variety of problems relating to the records maintained or the procedures followed. Independently maintains a complete set fo financial records, such as the cafeteria or Head Start/State Preschool; program posts to and maintains records of receipts and expenditures, including accounts receivable and payable; receives, counts, and deposits receipts from school cafeteria; receives and checks bills for food, supplies, and services; prepares warrants for the payment of bills; computes direct and indirect labor and costs for school cafeterias; prepares reports for State, County, and district officials; makes computations of financial and budget data, applying standard formulas and using predetermined guides; makes up trial balances and recapitulations from records maintained; file quarterly sales tax reports; may contact other agencies, districts. Schools, and district employees to discuss financial records and transactions; operates calculators, typewriters, and adding machines; operate personal computers using word processing and spreadsheet software or computer terminals; may assist or relieve other desks.

Under general supervision, the employee will compile, maintain, and process financial, accounting, and statistical records for one or more specialized accounts. Selection Process: The selection process tentatively consists of the District application review, performance exam, and interviews. The Human Resources Department will contact all applicants once the selection process has been finalized. IMPORTANT DATES: The application screening will be conducted on March 13, 2023. Emails will be sent to all applicants and only qualified applicants will be given exam and/or interview information. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: Equivalent to completion of graduation from high school, including or supplemented by courses in bookkeeping, office machines including computers and business office practices. Experience: Three (3) years of increasingly responsible and varied experience involving financial and statistical records maintenance, or acceptable experience as an Account Clerk I in the Baldwin Park Unified School District. REQUIRED LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATES May be required to possess a valid and appropriate California Driver’s License depending on assignment.
