Job Summary
Provides individual and group counseling and guidance for secondary students at one or more school sites, liaison to community and supplemental professional services, and in-service support to teachers and staff. Counsel students, develop and maintain master schedule, academic guidance, testing, graduation, special education referrals and placement, parental and behavior referrals. The counselor also requires the ability to facilitate student support services such as student assistance, at-risk behavior intervention and SARB.

Requires a valid driver's license. Teaching experience preferred. Bilingual (Spanish) is highly preferred. This position supports grade levels 6th-8th at RLS Middle School. The District grants up to 10 years prior teaching experience. Separate stipends for Masters and Doctoral degrees. Medical, dental, vision, life insurance paid for employee. Successful applicants will be expected to attend the following... Mandatory New Certificated Staff Orientation - Summer (Date TBD) - this day is unpaid and part of the SHTA contract.
