Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Deputy Superintendent or designee, the Confidential Accounting and Budget Analyst II position performs highly complex fiscal duties and provides financial operations support. The incumbent assists in the preparation and maintenance of budgets, financial reports, and accounting records, as well as problem solving skills in relation to the assigned areas of responsibility. This position requires substantial discretion, provides expertise and serves as a lead to other professional and technical staff. The position also performs duties of a confidential nature for the Board during salary negotiations, and at other times during the year. A strong background and understanding of position control, data analysis skills, budget monitoring and forecasting, and the ability to work collaboratively with others are essential for this position. Requirements / Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred and three years increasingly responsible experience in budget and accounting. Prior California public school district fiscal experience. In lieu of education requirements, years of experience in a like setting may be considered. Customer service experience preferred.
