Job Summary
Job Summary
To promote student achievement and success by providing a comprehensive school counseling program that addresses academic, personal/social and career/college development for all students. Under the direction of the principal, the counselor assumes responsibility for all phases of pupil personnel services and coordination of student learning at the school site.
Requirements / Qualifications
Valid CA Pupil Personnel Services Credential, School Counseling; Master's degree from an accredited institution Please provide References and Current Letters of Recommendation from 3 evaluating administrators for experienced educators. All other applicants should provide information for work supervisors.
Specific qualities or experiences beneficial for the assignment includes: Interpersonal skills, specifically the ability to connect with and help provide solutions for students and families who are at-risk due to attendance and/or poor grades; Familiarity with district databases such as Aeries and Canvas; Understanding of special programs such as AVID, Section 504 Plans and Student Success Teams; Passion to work with a team of high school educators.
