Athletic Trainers continuously evaluate athlete conditions, injuries and illnesses, conducting diagnostic tests and exercises and communicating those results with medical professionals. - Attending school sports events to provide the needed on-site care - Conducting athlete intake assessments and maintaining medical records for all athletes - Introducing treatment plans and making appropriate recommendations for ideal steps in athlete care - Handling clerical tasks, restocking supplies, and maintaining inventory - Facilitating rehabilitation and training programs for athletes
Requirements / Qualifications

Education and Experience - The athletic trainer must be certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) and maintain the standards established by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association’s (NATA) role delineation study. - The athletic trainer must be a member in good standing with NATA, the local NATA District and the State Athletic Trainers’ Association. Current BOC certification required. - CPR certification required; recertification as required. - Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training. - One or two years in an athletic training setting preferred. Entry-level graduates with BOC certification will be considered.
