Job Summary
The Lawndale Elementary School District (K-8) is located in the "heart of the South Bay", approximately 20 minutes from LAX. With an ADA of approximately 4,800, we have 8 schools (6 elementary and 2 middle schools). Our Assistant Superintendent, Business Services is a senior management, Cabinet-level position with administrative oversight of the Accounting, Food Services, IT, Maintenance, Purchasing, and Risk Management Departments. Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum job requirements (as stated in the job description): Licenses: Valid California driver's license Experience: Five years of responsible fiscal and operational management experience, including financial analysis, budget planning, and preparation, management of fiscal records and business service operational units, payroll, accounting, purchasing, warehousing, construction and facilities management, maintenance, operations, food service, safety, and contract administration. At least three years in a position involving administration, supervision, and policy formulation within a business department of a school district is preferred. Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, supplemented by university training and coursework in accounting, business management, personnel management, economics, or a closely related field. Master’s degree or higher desired.
