Job Summary
The Education Specialist is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality specialized academic instruction that supports student learning and growth. The Education Specialist develops standards-aligned lessons, uses data to inform instructional decisions, differentiates instruction to meet diverse student needs, and maintains high expectations for all learners. In collaboration with colleagues, families, and administration, the Education Specialist acts as the case manager for special education students ensuring compliance with IDEA and applicable laws. -Essential Duties and Responsibilities -Designs and implements standards-based instructional plans for case load -Assess student progress and use data to guide instruction, develop goals, and determine accommodations within IEPs for case loads. -Differentiates instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners -Establishes and maintains effective systems for support personnel working with special education students -Communicates regularly with families regarding student progress -Participates in professional development and collaborative planning Communicates effectively with students, families, staff, and external partners -Ensures compliance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures -Actively pursues continuing education, training, and certifications to maintain currency in related practices.

Comments and Other Information
After a conditional offer of employment, applicants will be required to pay the cost of all pre-employment processing which may include: physical examinations, drug/alcohol screening, TB screening questionnaire, and fingerprints. Additionally, applicants will be required to complete/participate in the following: AB1432 Mandated Reporting training and Safety training.
