Job Summary

The Curriculum Coordinator, Pre-Kindergarten–8th grade (PreK-8) Mathematics Programs, is responsible for the development, coordination, and management of county mathematics services and programs designed to accelerate and sustain student mathematics achievement in grades PreK-8. This position develops, disseminates, and evaluates PreK-8 mathematics services, and manages the operations, processes, and procedures in support of local school districts and their PreK-8 mathematics programs, and related SBCSS services. This individual also provides support to the branch in efforts to implement a variety of countywide mathematics and school reform initiatives and mandates.

Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS ? Master’s degree in Education or a related field from an accredited college or university; ? Possession of a valid California Administrative Services credential, Certificate of Eligibility (COE) or current enrollment in an approved Administrative Services program with the ability to obtain an Administrative Services Intern Credential upon employment; ? Possession of a valid California teaching credential; ? Possession of valid English Learner authorization (ex: CLAD, etc.); ? Five (5) years of experience teaching in Pre-K-8 grades; ? Experience teaching diverse learners (i.e. English Learners and students in special education); ? Two (2) years working as a site, district, and/or county office administrator and/or instructional coach; ? Experience working with program improvement and/or Title 1 schools and/or districts; ? Experience in mathematics curriculum development, and/or staff development and monitoring programs.
