Are you an experienced technology professional, looking to apply your skills to managing a team? Apply now for the Manager, Technology Services. The Manager, Technology Services supervises the work of a team in the Technology Services Department responsible for providing technology infrastructure or customer service support; manages functions associated with technology field support and a 24/7 technology infrastructure support services; serves as a liaison between their unit and internal/external technology end-users or vendor organizations regarding services, issues, or support; serves as a project lead for technology projects. The current vacancy is in the Networks and Telecommunications Division. The eligibility list resulting from this process will also be used for future vacancies in the Technology Learning & Support Services and Technology Infrastructure Services Divisions.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education: A bachelor’s degree from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Experience: Five years of experience in a 24/7 operations technology environment supporting business application systems in a large-scale computing environment in one of the following: LAN/WAN support, operating system support (zOS, Windows, Mac OS), or IT customer service support including two years of lead engineer or supervisory experience. Equivalency Provision: Current certification in Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), ITIL, Project Management Professional Certification (PMP), or equivalent may substitute for two years of required education. Additional Requirements: A valid California driver’s license and/or use of vehicle is required for positions in this classification. Hybrid remote schedules may be available. To ensure the health and safety of its staff, LACOE may require employees to provide evidence of full vaccination against COVID-19.
