Job Summary
The Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) is seeking qualified individuals for Facilities Planning Specialist. An ideal candidate would be an enthusiastic and knowledgeable specialist who would enjoy inspections and working with sites and programs personnel and being a part of a large organization that offers a variety of opportunities to develop as a professional. Under general direction, performs, coordinates, and manages facility inspection, modernization, and reporting activities for compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The current vacancies are in the Head Start and Early Learning Division, which support delegate agencies. The positions require traveling to delegate agencies and are based in Santa Fe Springs, CA.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or other field closely related to the knowledge and ability requirements of this classification, from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation. Experience: Three years of experience in the field of architecture as an architect, designer, planner, or project manager. Additional Requirements: A valid California driver's license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to obtain transportation between job sites is required.
