A substitute employee is an individual hired with the understanding that his/her association with the Adelanto Elementary School District will be on a substitute basis, as needed, because of the absence of a permanent or probationary employee. To Apply: Complete and submit EdJoin application. Required Documents: • Proof of HS Graduation: Diploma or Equivalent (transcripts in lieu of certificate/diploma ok) • Two Letters of Recommendation (desired) • TO1 • Current H6 DMV print out less than 30 days old. • Current Class B California Driver’s License, valid School Bus Certificate with a Bus Passenger endorsement, and valid medical certificate. • Current First Aid and CPR certificate from an agency approved by the California Highway Patrol. Our District requires a complete application and that all materials to be considered as part of your application packet be submitted online with your application. An incomplete application will not be considered; all fields must be filled in. Please do not fax, e-mail or mail any required documents as they will not be accepted. Tuberculosis Report Per Education Code 49407, all employees (substitute and regular employees) must also submit a current clear TB report prior to first day of employment (within 4 years). District Fingerprinting District Fingerprinting is required at time of employment and the cost is $32.00 payable to Adelanto Elementary School District with a money order. COMMUNICATIONS VIA E-MAIL: Notifications will be sent via the e-mail provided through EDJOIN. After applying for a position, all applicants should check their e-mail regularly for the status of their application. The district is not responsible for e-mails that may be delivered into an applicant’s junk/spam mailbox.
