The Educational Services Department is pleased to share the following MUSD Summer School information with you. This information is provided to you so that you may plan accordingly should you choose to apply for a position in one of Monrovia’s summer programs. Position specific information - including available positions, application process, and pay rates - will be shared by Human Resources in subsequent communications. Summer School Sites: Monrovia High School Santa Fe Computer Science Magnet School Mayflower Elementary School Monroe Elementary School Bradoaks Elementary School Monrovia Community Adult School Summer School Dates: Summer sessions will run on a modified 4-day school week, with some exceptions made for the various holidays that concur in June and July. Traditional Summer Session (Elementary, Middle, & High School): June 12, 2023 - July 20, 2023 Extended School Year [ESY] (Elementary, Middle, & High School): June 12, 2023 - July 14, 2023 Special Education Adult Transition Program (ATP): June 12, 2023 - July 14, 2023 Adult School Session: June 9, 2023 - June 30, 2023 Summer Holidays (All programs): Juneteenth: Observed June 19, 2023 Independence Day: Observed July 3 and July 4, 2023 Traditional Summer Session & ESY Non-School Days: Friday, June 16, 2023 Friday, June 30, 2023 Friday, July 21, 2023
Requirements / Qualifications
Candidates must possess a Bachelors degree in Mathematics; a valid California Foundational Math or Mathematics credential; EL Certification; valid TB clearance.
Current MUSD Employees do not have to include additional documentation at this time. Outside candidates must include college transcripts; a minimum of three letters of reference; resume; credential copy; valid TB clearance; and any other items which may support your candidacy for a position.

Comments and Other Information
Job Goal: Teach Integrated Mat 1, 2 and/or 3 to students enrolled in the summer school program. We anticipate needing 5 math teachers at this time and staffing will depend upon enrollment.
