The Dean of Students is charged with overseeing and developing student discipline, supervision, and restorative practices. This is an 11-month position. Requirements / Qualifications

* Commitment to Gateway’s unique educational mission and to equitable outcomes for all students, and ability to translate this mission into practice * Commitment to working with students from diverse backgrounds and with diverse learning profiles * Ability to develop strong relationships and work collaboratively, creatively, and flexibly with students, staff, and families * Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills * Deep understanding of and/or willingness to be trained in Restorative Practices * At least 3 years experience working with high school students in a comparable school context * Prior leadership experience in a relevant role preferred * Bilingual candidates and candidates of color are strongly encouraged to apply * BA or BS degree; advanced degree in education preferred
