Job Summary
Director - Student and School Support provides leadership and direct services to districts under the CA Community Schools Partnership Program, CA MTSS (California Multi-Tiered System of Support), DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion), and other grant-funded programs. The Director analyzes the needs of students across the county and assists schools and personnel in developing, implementing, and analyzing the ongoing effectiveness of school programs, initiatives, and other related student supports. The Director will collaborate with the other Educational Services departments at LCOE to build stronger and more cohesive student support services across Lake County school districts.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education: • Bachelor's Degree required • Must possess and maintain a valid California Teaching Credential with CLAD/SDAIE certification • Must possess and maintain a valid California Administrative Services Credential Experience: • Minimum of 5 years of classroom teaching experience • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a school administrator or equivalent Licenses and Other Requirements: • Possess a valid California driver's license and the availability of an automobile with the liability coverage required by the LCOE policy; • Possess cleared current Tuberculosis (TB) Screening/Certification in accordance with California Education Code; • Cleared background check through the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) prior to starting employment with the agency. The agency also receives subsequent arrest information from DOJ if any penal code infractions occur.

The employee will be a member of the California State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS) LCOE does not participate in the Social Security system.
Benefits will include:
• Longevity Pay (Years: 5,10,15,20,25,30,35)
• Paid Sick Leave (80 hours per year/prorated based on service days/hours)
• STRS Retirement plan contributions
• Employer Paid Life Insurance
• Air Ambulance Membership
