Under the supervision of the Dean of Arts, the Director of Creative Writing is responsible for the development and direction of the Creative Writing Conservatory in order to achieve the school-wide mission of creating a creative, challenging, and nurturing environment that offers students unparalleled preparation for higher education and a profession in the arts.

No credential is necessary at the time of applying. However, the selected candidate will be required to obtain a Preliminary Career Technical Education (CTE) credential during the onboarding process and prior to the start of their assignment.

No credential is necessary at the time of applying. However, the selected candidate will be required to obtain a Preliminary Career Technical Education (CTE) credential during the onboarding process and prior to the start of their assignment.
Comments and Other Information
The selected candidate will be asked to serve part-time at the rate of $50 per hour until June 30, 2023, to effectively transition alongside the current director.
Effective July 1st candidate will be placed on the appropriate Director Salary Schedule based on education:
AA Degree: starting at $70,899.91 step 1 to $92,632.31 step 10
BA/BS Degree: starting at $75,224.17 step 1 to $97,536.12 step 10
MA Degree: starting at $79,558.44 step 1 to $102,439.93 step 10
Doctorate Degree: starting at $83,892.69 step 1 to $107,343.77 step 10
