Requirements / Qualifications
The Baldwin Park Unified School District is seeking a highly qualified Teacher on Special Assignment to support the effective use of technology to enhance student achievement and support services. Candidate will report to the Educational Technology and Program Administrator. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Supporting teachers in implementing technology in the classroom by creating units and modeling the use of technology to engage enhance and extend learning; supporting blended and personalized learning environments; providing data, analytical support and professional development for Student Achievement; training staff on the Student Information System and other District sponsored programs. REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s Degree • California Teaching Credential: Single Subject OR Multiple Subject Credential (General Subjects) Education Specialist Credential & Title V Regulations; with EL Authorization) • Five (5) years of experience as a successful classroom teacher • Experience in developing and delivering professional development • Experience in curriculum development • EL Authorization PREFERENCES • Master’s Degree in Educational Technology or School Administration • Leadership experience • Experience using technology to personalize learning • Knowledge of digital literacy and digital citizenship • Experience in implementing site-based programs • Effective organization including utilization of technology • Knowledge of English Learner Programs • Knowledge of adult learning methodologies and learning theories • Comfortable learning new applications and teaching them to others • Speaking effectively before groups of employees or outside organizations; possess exceptional oral communication skills
