Welcome to the Santa Maria-Bonita School District website. We are the largest school district in Santa Barbara County with about 17,500 pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade students. In the heart of the coastal agricultural area, we celebrate our families and the support they provide to the students of the District. The District is comprised of seventeen elementary schools, four junior high schools, and one combined elementary and junior high. BASIC FUNCTIONS Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources, the Classified Coordinator for Human Resources is responsible for planning, organizing and directing comprehensive personnel management programs for certificated and classified personnel, and the underlying Human Resources/Business functions for the District. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to sufficient experience, training and/or education to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above. Typically, this would be gained through: bachelor’s or master’s degree in business and/or human resources, and five years increasingly responsible experience working within either human resources or business services. Experience working within both realms is highly preferred. Preference for administrative experience, in a supervisory or management capacity, with human resource and/or business services. Demonstrated record of strategic planning, budget management, integration and staff development.
