Santa Ana Unified School District (SAUSD) is seeking an experienced, proactive leader to serve as the district’s next Associate Superintendent/Chief Business Official. The mission of the Business Services team is to provide fiscal and business direction to support the ongoing operations of the Board and District goals.

Santa Ana Unified School District (SAUSD) is seeking an experienced, proactive leader to serve as the district’s next Associate Superintendent/Chief Business Official. The mission of the Business Services team is to provide fiscal and business direction to support the ongoing operations of the Board and District goals. Leadership Attributes Successful candidates must demonstrate a track record of success in the following areas: • Planning, organizing, supervising, directing, and controlling programs and personnel supporting the professional and technical aspects of business services and district operational functions. • Preparing and compiling comprehensive and clear reports; conducting technical correspondence, and preparing work estimates, specifications, and contracts. • Analyzing complex systems and developing effective conclusions and recommendations. • Establishing and maintaining effective and cooperative working relationships with others. • Exercising judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying policies and procedures. • Communicating effectively both orally and in writing including preparation and presentation of detailed analyses, recommendations, and conclusions. • Working collaboratively with SAUSD Police Services and local law enforcement agencies and ensure that district-wide security systems and operation are maintained. Education/Experience/Certification • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, public administration, or related field. • Master's degree preferred. • Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible management experience as an assistant superintendent/chief business official in a public education setting, including responsibility and/or training in facilities program planning and school construction projects.
