SITE SUMMER SCHOOL COORDINATOR
1. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
1.1. The Site Summer School Coordinator works under the supervision of the site administration. This person is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of site summer school.
2. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
2.1. Works with site administration in development of summer school master schedule.
2.2. Coordinate staffing for site summer school program.
2.3. Co-manage summer school budget and ordering of supplies and teaching materials.
2.4. Implement and supervise site summer school attendance accounting procedures.
2.5. Supervise issuance of site summer school report cards.
2.6. Meet with parents to handle concerns and complaints.
2.7. Implement site summer school discipline procedures and handle infractions.
2.8. Supervise the day-to-day operations of site summer school.
3. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
3.1. Certificated employee of the East Side Union High School District.
3.2. California Administrative Credential, preferred.
3.3. Leadership or supervisory experience.

In addition to possessing the ability to successfully meet the duties and responsibilities as per the job description, the successful SITE SUMMER SCHOOL COORDINATOR applicant will be selected on the basis of the following:
1. Proven knowledge of a variety of teaching strategies.
2. Ability to work cooperatively with summer school staff, administration, students, and parents.
3. Ability to coordinate a summer school master schedule and room utilization chart, taking in to consideration the importance of placement of staff in regard to ability.
4. Proven ability to handle school emergency situations.
5. Proven ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
6. Evidence of recent professional growth activities:
- Staff development for current position.
- Training for future careers.
7. Belief that all students are capable and can learn.
8. Belief that all people should be treated with dignity and respect.
