Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent, Business Services, leads the Nutrition Services Department, which includes developing and implementing ongoing and responsive improvements to the program. The Director will develop and implement a vision to consistently improve food quality, meal options, and increase student participation.

The Claremont Unified School District is located in Southern California approximately 35 miles east of Los Angeles. The community is known for the Claremont Colleges and has a strong working relationship with these institutions. Currently, the District has over 7,000 students in its K-12 program and runs an extensive Adult School program. There are seven unique elementary schools, a school for the orthopedically handicapped, an intermediate school, a comprehensive high school, and a continuation school. All Claremont elementary schools are designated by the State of California as Distinguished Schools. Claremont High School is a National Blue Ribbon Award Winner and a California Distinguished School.
