POSITION DETAILS The Fullerton School District is seeking a qualified individual to fill a full-time management level Educational Program Specialist position. Under general direction, this classification designs and develops programs, plans and coordinates program services, trains and evaluates school-aged child development programs. The current opening will support the After School Programs and is a 40 hours/week, 12 month/year position with a work schedule to be set between 7:30am and 6:00pm, Monday through Friday, with paid holidays, sick leave and vacation. The District offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision and life insurance. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Education: *Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, Education, Liberal Arts or a field related to the knowledge and abilities requirements of this classification from an institute of higher learning recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. A master's degree in a field related to the knowledge and abilities requirements of this classification is desirable. Experience: *Five (5) years of experience designing, coordinating and overseeing the implementation of an educationally-related program for preschool through 8th grade school-aged children, including two (2) years of experience evaluating the effectiveness of the program and training staff on program implementation. Some experience with with job relevant subject matter related to the program or department in need, in an educational setting, is desirable. License: A valid California's Driver License, and the availability of private transportation or the ability to provide transportation between job sites is required. Also a California Child Development Supervisor's Permit required at time of hire (as required by program served). Please refer to the Job Description for more information.
RECRUITMENT PROCEDURES This is a promotional only recruitment, open only to current, permanent employees of Fullerton School District. Applications will be accepted from all qualified individuals. The recruitment process may consist of the following: an application and supplemental question response evaluation and/or structured oral interview. To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list, a candidate must obtain a passing score on each part of the examination. Final scores will be obtained by combining the relative weights of scores on each part of the examination. If Veteran's credit is claimed, proof of status (DD214) must be submitted to the Classified Personnel Commission Office at the same time the application form is submitted or prior to testing. The life of the eligibility list will be twelve (12) months. The resulting eligibility list will be used to fill current and future vacancies. Date of Examination The anticipated date of the oral exam will be February 3, 2023 with the hiring interview to be conducted on either February 6, 2023 or February 9, 2023. Candidates who are among the most qualified shall be notified via email, and/or telephone, of the exact time, date and place of the interview(s).
