Job Summary
Under the direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer, operate and manage the District’s centralized telephone switchboard system; handle incoming and outgoing calls; serve as receptionist and provide a variety of information to the public, staff and outside agencies.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education and Experience: • Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and one year of clerical experience involving frequent public contact. Licenses and other Requirements • Valid California Class C driver’s license. Knowledge of: • Operation of a centralized telephone switchboard. • Telephone techniques and etiquette. • Modern office practices and procedures. • Oral and written communication skills. • Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy. District-paid medical, dental, and vision prescription plans are provided for employees and dependents.
