The Chawanakee Unified School District is within a 30-minute drive of Fresno, Madera, and Merced. We are located in Eastern Madera County, extending from the floor of the San Joaquin Valley to the crest of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, including a significant amount of territory in the Sierra National Forest. The district encompasses the communities of North Fork, O’Neals, Tesoro Viejo, and Millerton Preserve. Spectacular recreational areas of Bass Lake and Yosemite National Park surround North Fork while the San Joaquin River borders Tesoro Viejo and Millerton Preserve on the eastern side. The district is close to Badger Pass and China Peak ski slopes, and we are just minutes from Millerton Lake State Park. The district is also surrounded by a multitude of High Sierra lakes and resorts.

Job Summary

Hillside Elementary is looking for an Instructional Aide to work in-person with students in small groups and in one on one situations to support academic progress. To assist the instructional staff in supervising students on playgrounds and in other areas of the campus outside the classrooms. Start Date: February 1, 2023 Hours: Monday-Friday, 6 hours/day. 8:00am- 2:30pm, 183 duty days per year with 12 Holidays

Requirements / Qualifications

Completion of 12th grade or equivalent. Education sufficient to read, write and communicate at the level required for successful job performance. Valid California driver license. Fingerprint clearance and pre-employment physical is required upon offer of employment. Upon hire must submit proof of negative TB and CPR/First Aide certification.
