JOB DESCRIPTION: To assist the classroom Paraprofessional I’s in supporting the teacher who is providing instruction and support to individuals or groups of students, under the direction of the certificated teacher and supervision of the site administrator.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING: Apprentice must be 16 years old and a Junior or Senior in good standing in the Lincoln Unified School District upon employment. Must be Work Permit Eligible and meet all requirements and guidelines for High School Apprenticeship Program. May be dual enrolled with high school and higher education institution (Junior College). Must possess a current TB test/ meet licensing immunization requirement (Pertussis, Measles, and Influenza (declination acceptable) CPR/First Aide certified preferred MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Course enrollment during the term of apprenticeship or prior to include: Lincoln High School Careers with Children course, Junior College courses: Child and Adolescent Development, Child Discipline, Introductions to Education, Reading Tutoring Techniques, Math Tutoring Techniques, Professional Exam Preparation, Bilingualism in the Classroom. Reading and Composition, Concept’s and Structures of Mathematics CREDENTIALS AND/OR SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Some experience working with children in an organized setting preferred.
