Job Summary
Under general supervision, perform a variety of liaison duties in the support and maintenance of a community relations and volunteer program at an assigned school site. Recruit, interview, train and place parent volunteers and members for classroom support, School Site Council, School Advisory Council, English Learners Advisory Board and other related organizations. Provide information and assistance to school families related to school programs and referrals to community health and social services resources. Interpret and translate in Spanish.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and two years of experience working with schools, parents, community agencies, or related groups. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California Class C driver's license. Position requires use of personal vehicle and proof of insurance.
