Newly employed teachers in this position may receive credit up to a maximum of 14 years of full-time contract teaching (depending on column placement).

Job Summary

Job Summary

Job Goal: To teach students enrolled in the Dual Immersion program and assist in other school programs as assigned. Candidates must be fluent in Mandarin (reading, writing and speaking) and have an understanding of culture of Chinese-speaking countries.

Requirements / Qualifications

Valid California Multiple Subject teaching credential - AND - Valid Bilingual Authorization: Mandarin issued by CCTC (or equivalent: Mandarin BCLAD; Bilingual Crosscultural Specialist Credential; or Bilingual Certificate of Competence) If you do not currently have a valid Bilingual Authorization: Mandarin, please use the link provided (to the right) to determine if you meet CTC eligibility requirements for issuance, and indicate on your application your plan for obtaining a Bilingual Authorization prior to employment.

Applications must include a brief statement which includes an overview of experiences, education philosophy, talents and skills; three recent (within one year) letters of reference; resume; and any other items which may support your candidacy for a position.
