Job Description and Duties
Under the direction of the Education Research and Evaluation Administrator I of the Measurement and Technical Analysis Unit (MTAU), the Education Research and Evaluation Consultant (EREC) analyzes educational data, provides policy advice on matters related to data use for accountability decisions, and develops complex programming code to produce the California School Dashboard (Dashboard) and related accountability outputs. The MTAU is one of six units in the Analysis, Measurement, and Accountability Reporting Division and its mission is to produce student-level and aggregate data products for internal use, accountability, and student group data reporting. The MTAU is a critical team of data programmers who provide data analysis for the executive team on a variety of matters related to academic achievement and accountability and is also responsible for a variety of internal, external, and ad hoc data requests and analyses for educational policymakers.

Working Conditions
This position is headquartered in Sacramento, and may be eligible for a hybrid telework schedule for eligible applicants residing in California. A hybrid telework schedule includes working remotely and physically reporting to the office.
