Byron Union School District-Chief Business Official (CBO): The Byron Union School District is a TK - 8 district located in Byron, CA, with two elementary schools and one middle school serving approximately 1,250 students. Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Chief Business Official serves as controller by closely monitoring the district’s financial health; develops and maintains the District budget; prepares financial projections and reports; performs accounting and financial reporting to ensure fiscal compliance with all federal, state and local regulations. The CBO also oversees and supervises the Business Services, Maintenance & Operations and Nutrition Services departments.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Any combination equivalent to: - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration degree required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure and/or Masters Degree in lieu of Bachelor's Degree preferred. California Association of School Business Officials (CASBO) Chief Business Official (CBO) Certification/Training highly desired. - Two (2) years of varied and increasingly responsible accounting and business services experience.
