Job Summary
The Bylund Clinic is seeking a Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP) to join our practice. The LEP will be responsible for completing psych-educational and neuropsychological evaluations from beginning to end. This will include conducting intake interviews with parents, standardized testing, observations, report writing, meeting with parents to review findings following the evaluation, and an Individualized Education Program (IEP) meeting if needed. The LEP will also need to use The Bylund Clinic procedures including test selection and report template, which Dr. Bylund will teach and provide ongoing consultation as needed. The Bylund Clinic will provide office space and all testing materials, generate referrals, and provide administrative support (e.g., scheduling appointments). Dr. Bylund will also provide case consultation as needed.
Requirements / Qualifications
Required:
- Must be licensed as an LEP by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).
- Must be knowledgeable about developmental and psychological disabilities (e.g., learning disorders, ADHD, autism, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, etc.).
- Must be skilled in psycho-educational evaluation.
- Must have strong understanding of special education regulations.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have strong organization and time management skills.
- Must be passionate about serving children and adolescents with disabilities.
- Must conduct Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE).
- Must attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to present findings.
Preferred:
- Experience as both a school psychologist and special education administrator is preferred, but not required.
- Certification, or other training, in neuropsychological assessment is also preferred, but not required.
