Requirements / Qualifications

Assistant Superintendent - Business Services Purpose Statement: The job of Assistant Superintendent - Business Services is done for the purpose/s of supporting the Superintendent, Board, and department administrators in leading to increase student achievement for the purpose of developing and implementing services and programs and achieving operational goals; overseeing the delivery of business services of the district including the following departments: Food Services, Security, Purchasing, Risk Management, Accounting and Fiscal, Facilities, Maintenance, Operations, and Transportation; providing technical expertise regarding District business and serving as a resource to others; achieving defined objectives by planning, organizing, evaluating, developing, implementing and maintaining services in compliance with established guidelines; and serving as an integral member of the Superintendent’s Cabinet. This job reports to Superintendent of Schools

Experience: Job related experience within a specialized field with increasing levels of responsibility is required in a job related a field and 1 year of supervisory experience is typically required to perform the functions of this job. Education (Minimum): Masters degree in job-related area with an emphasis in a related field. Equivalency: Any combination equivalent to: Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, AND four (4) years of related administrative or management experience in a school district environment, with experience in most areas of business services division.
