POSITION DESCRIPTION: The position of Administrator, Leadership Training and Support is responsible for developing operational and instructional leadership competencies, building school site administrator leadership capacity, promoting professional growth, and evolving equitable outcomes through differentiated coaching and leadership professional development for school site principals, assistant principals, and individuals in various entry leadership positions at the district level. This includes developing the knowledge, skills, and abilities to effectively implement district/county priorities; providing differentiated support to specific school staff and site leadership; and monitoring efforts to ensure implementation that will lead to student success. This coaching position is designed to increase the capacity of principals, assistant principals, and school site leaders to effectively lead change by implementing systems focused on improving outcomes for all students and creating equitable school cultures. The Administrator, Leadership Training and Support reports to the Director I, Pupil Administrative Services; is designated as a certificated management position; and is part of the Management Leadership Team. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Five years of principal experience in working with a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to recruiting, hiring, supporting staff, budgets, grants, instructional leadership, master schedule planning, and other job-related experiences that would demonstrate essential functions. Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience. K-12 school district, county office of education, college, or university work experience in a lead position such as Curriculum and Instruction Coach, or a position that demonstrates experience working with and teaching adults and/or the ability to coach principals is desired.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: A Master’s degree from an accredited college/university is required. Doctoral degree is desirable. CERTIFICATES/CREDENTIALS/LICENSES: • Possession of a valid California Single Subject, Multiple Subject, Designated Subjects, Education Specialist, or teaching credential is required • Possession of a valid California Administrative Credential appropriate for K-12 public school administration is required • Valid California driver’s license REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: A complete application must meet the criteria listed below and must have the following documentation attached to your online EdJoin application prior to the position closing date/time:
