Job Summary
Job Summary
Perform a variety of library clerical work including typing, proof reading, filing, checking and recording information; provide information as directed to students, staff or other; operate office machines and reproduction equipment as directed; sort and file materials and records; maintain alphabetical index and cross-referenced files; perform arithmetical calculations; may act as a receptionist; prepare reports as directed; assist students and staff in arranging for use of and operation of computers; assist Library Clerk in maintaining circulation, inventory, and library records in accordance with specific instructions; maintain library and media materials in a neat, orderly condition; circulate and shelve library materials; participate and assist in setting up, monitoring, selling, and packing up all book fairs; may read to students; assist the Library Clerk as required.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Equivalent to graduation from high school * Passage of a CODESP test, OR completion of 48 semester units from an accredited college, OR AA Degree from an accredited college (Verification of exam, units, and/or AA is due at the time of application) * Valid California Driver’s License * Typing Certificate for 30 NWPM (issued within one year) * CPR / First Aid Certification (within three months of employment)
