The Riverside, Inyo, Mono, and San Bernardino (RIMS) Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating, and maintaining assigned goals and objectives related to the K-12 College and Career Readiness System in the RIMS Region. The coordinator provides support to school staff, site/district administrators, and teachers, in the implementation, development, and expansion of AVID programs, as a cornerstone for school-wide restructuring. The coordinator assists in the management of all AVID components related to the program infrastructure and dissemination of AVID Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization and Reading (WICOR) methodologies School-wide.

Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Possession of a valid California Administrative Services Credential or Certificate of Eligibility (COE) - Administrative Services; • Five (5) years of experience teaching; • Three (3) years of experience teaching and/or coordinating AVID programs.
