Requirements / Qualifications
* Qualifications • Education: Minimum of an Associate’s degree or equivalent • Experience working with children • Experience with public speaking preferred • Science knowledge

Comments and Other Information
*This Short-Term assignment is on an as needed basis, referred to as a Professional Services Agreement (PSA). Present educational programs to children in an outdoor setting and a planetarium setting. Field trips vary by week, but the planetarium averages two programs per week during the school year. Typical hours for field trips are 8:30am-12:30pm. There is also at least one public planetarium show per month, year-round in the evenings.
*Under the direction of the Director of Science, the Presenter is responsible for presenting the Schreder Planetarium programs. Each program includes four parts: opening discussions and demos; night sky presentation; full dome show; exhibits/gift shop.
* Duties and Responsibilities:
• Present educational programs to children in an outdoor setting and a planetarium setting.
• Operate the computer-based planetarium projection system
• Monitor visitor behavior during programs
• Sell items in the gift shop
* Pay rate - $17/hour
* Open Until Filled
