Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Senior Director of Education Partnerships, the Senior Manager of Education Partnerships will play a key role in supporting Orenda to increase its impact in closing education and opportunity gaps across school and district partners. He/She will collaborate with team members to bring innovative and technical solutions to scale Orenda’s research-based systems approach to schools and districts across the state and beyond. An ideal candidate brings initiative, analytical skills, creativity and has strong communication and relationship building skills. Full benefits package is provided.

Job Description / Essential Elements:    Print   
  1. Support Current Partner Needs
    • Support all aspects of Orenda’s priority of strong relationships with current partners
    • Help develop/define scope of work based on individual needs of the districts
    • Identify notable results of partners implementing Orenda systems and promote within the Orenda network
    • Build networking opportunities for our current partners to share best practices
    • Work with Orenda project lead to ensure full fidelity and implementation of the phases of the work 
    • Support the Orenda project teams with the needs of current partners 
  2. Build Pipeline and Grow Impact 
    • Organize outreach efforts to new partners and follow up with new inquiries (i.e. email blasts, setting up new partner presentations, coordinating follow-up presentations, etc.)
    • Collaborate with marketing team to increase social media presence and build marketing materials
    • Monitor and track data for sales cycles
    • Run monthly sales data reports and manage quarterly sales reflection sessions
  3. Coordinate Special Events
    • Collaborate with marketing team to promote events and speaking engagements
    • Coordinate logistics for all events and speaking engagements for new partners or special events
    • Follow-up with participants as needed after events and speaking engagements
    • Monitor timelines and support submission of proposals for annual conferences
    • Manage contracts for all events and speaking engagements
    • Capture highlights of events and speaking engagements for future promotional purposes

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Experience working in school districts
  • Experience working in sales or consulting
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, effectively communicate and take initiative to accomplish common program or operational goals
  • Ability to think quickly manage and progress-monitor multiple projects at one time, respond to rapid-fire, unexpected questions and issues with calmness, maturity, finesse and tact, and maintain and prepare reports, documents and records quickly and accurately
  • Independently design, prepare and deliver high impact presentations to teams from small to very large groups
  • Ability to communicate professionally and impactfully in writing and orally for small and large audiences
  • Ability to execute all job functions and meet deadlines consistently to the highest professional standard, with minimal or no additional support
  • Stamina: ability to stand and walk for hours at a time
  • Interpersonal Skills: ability to lead change in complex systems, impeccable presentation skills and presence, ability to inspire and motivate adults, excellent organization skills, high degree of personal initiative and problem-solving ability
  • Advanced computer skills. Ability to complete computer-related tasks rapidly and accurately including proficiency in Google Apps, Microsoft Office, OneDrive, Canva, Mail Chimp, Sprout, and social media platforms
  • Experience in using Salesforce to track client data
  • Must be willing to travel; personal, reliable vehicle required; Southern California resident preferred

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree; preferably in business or other related field
  • Minimum three to five years of professional experience in a role requiring project management, research, and analytical skills, ideally with a consulting or similar firm
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed teams
  • Proficient in database management and familiarity with cloud based project management, productivity and collaboration tools
