Job Summary

Job Summary

Under general direction of a site principal, the Library Technician performs a variety of technical library duties using automated library systems and requiring specialized knowledge of library methods and procedures. This position differs from the Library Clerk position in that more independent judgement is exercised in the application of standard practices and procedures.

Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school. Two years of increasingly responsible library experience or a certificate in library science from a two year college program, desired. Experience in working with school-age children.
