The Baldwin Park Unified School District is seeking a highly qualified Early Childhood Education (ECE) Teacher for the Head Start Tri-Cities area (located in the cities of Bell, Maywood and Cudahy).  The ECE Teacher plans and implements a developmentally appropriate educational program for preschool-age children.  The position adheres to regulations, policies, procedures and practices associated with District, State and Federal Early Childhood Education programs. 

Requirements / Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS: -BA Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field -6 semester units of Early Childhood Education in Administration and Adult Supervision -Site Supervisor Permit or higher -Completion of Health and Safety Course -Current CPR and First Aid certification (American Red Cross, American Heart Association or EMS Certified) -Valid California Driver's license and current car insurance upon employment -A current physical exam report must be available at the time of employment. PREFERENCE: -Bilingual/bi literate (Spanish) -Early Childhood Education experience

The new regulations go into effect for HS/EHS staff members on January 31, 2022. Head Start/Early Head Start (HS/EHS) programs may allow exemptions to the vaccination requirement for those who cannot be vaccinated due to medical conditions or sincerely held beliefs, practices, or observances. For those granted a vaccine exemption through the interactive accommodation process, there will be a weekly testing requirement. Without an approved vaccine exemption, there is no option for testing in lieu of receiving the vaccine. To qualify for employment in a HS/EHS program, applicants must show verification of COVID-19 vaccination or intention to request a medical or sincerely held belief exemption with proper documentation through the interactive accommodation process.
