About the Employer
JCS was established in November 1999 (under a management organization) as a K-12 non-classroom based charter school. In 2000, the School, as a 501(c)(3) organization, incrementally began taking ownership of curriculum, instruction and assessment; finance, facilities, and business management; and organization, governance, and administration becoming a fully independent, direct funded, incorporated charter school by the 2002-2003 school year. From inception, the School was designed to meet the needs of students under served by traditional delivery systems of education or for families with a strong desire to home school. The School received an initial charter for two years and has had three additional five-year renewals.

- C-19 Letter (Please upload your Covid 19 Vacination Card. if you are not vaccinated, please upload a letter stating you will comply with weekly Covid 19 testing at our school.)
- Copy of Transcript (Copies of unofficial college transcripts, showing at least 48 credits) OR Paraprofessional Testing (If you have a Paraprofessional Certificate, please upload a copy.)
- CPR/First Aid Certification (Current CPR certification required.) OR Other (If you do not have a current CPR certification, please post a document stating that you will obtain CPR certification upon hire.)
- Letter of Introduction
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (We require three letters of recommendation. These must be PDF or JPG files of actual letters signed by the authors.)
- Resume
- Other (If no Test Result is available, please upload a document stating that you will obtain a Test Result upon offer of employment.) OR TB Screening Result (Negative test results, dated within 6 months of the application required.)

We are looking to fill one Part-Time position, up to 28 hours, as a SPED Paraprofessional I. Experience in working with students with special needs is preferred. This position is located at our JCS-Cedar Cove in Encinitas, CA.
JCS-Cedar Cove Academy serves grades TK-12 with a target student population for those who have a strong desire to home school or would like to participate in a home school hybrid and collegiate learning model with a combination of classroom learning opportunities four-days-a-week and one day at home for independent study.
